This purse (not a messenger bag) features a layer of fleece between the outside fabric and the lining, giving it a cushy quilted feel.
I found the blue and beige jungle fabric remnant at a thrift store and could not leave it behind. Seriously - I challenge you to find someone who would not have felt the same! Without taking a closer look, you don't notice the charming creatures, scampering through the pineapples and vines, ready to chatter at you when no one is looking.
Both sides feature an antique creamy beige button. And a little diagonal strip of grosgrain ribbon, donated by Colleen B.
The bag snaps closed to keep your valuables a little more secure. The snaps were a donation from Mary Ann M.
The bag is lined with a striped piece in multiple shades of blue and brown, which was a donation from ____ (can anyone fill in this blank?). The double pocket is made from an abandoned high school home-ec project and trimmed with solid brown.
The straps are interestingly only one long strap that threads through casings on the inside of the bag.
The purse measures 14" wide, 11" high, and the straps are about 14 1/2" long.
