The Parade to Paradise

*** A couple pictures were updated on Wednesday ***

I'm excited to introduce BFZ's first reversible messenger bag, The Parade to Paradise. While I was making this bag I could not decide which side should be out. I intended the outside to be the winter-white corduroy, but then I started to really like the Hawaiian print. So I took photos of the bag both ways.

The first four pictures feature the rich winter-white corduroy from Jennie C's stash. Under the flap are two pockets in a Hawaiian print accented with a teal button. Also from JC's stash are the lavender straps, the dark teal calico trim on the outside pockets, and the plum coloured side pocket. The front of the bag is finished off with two heritage teal green buttons from my MIL's stash.

The next four pictures feature the playful Hawaiian print which was left over from outdoor cushions my mom re-covered. Primarily teal, the print also has accents of rose, lavender, and green. The back of the bag has a row of three plum coloured pockets trimmed with lavender buttons. And one of the flowers on the front flap has some quilting, for a little extra dimension.

Bid on this bag by leaving your name and a bid in the comments section. Bidding starts at $25 and increases by whole $s please. Highest bidder at 8am (PDT) on Saturday, September 13th gets the BAG! Postage extra (from Abbotsford, BC). This bag was created by Jenn V.

Are the straps on the winter white side --lavender or pink, hard to tell from picture. Could we see a picture of the pockets on the back of the winter white bag please.
Thank You

The straps on the winter-white side are a pale lavender. I've been having a hard time getting the colours right on pictures lately - so frustrating.

The very last picture of this bag shows the pocket that goes with the winter-white side of the bag. If it was on the outside, it would be under the flap. We'll try to get another picture posted for you.

And please remember that you can click on any picture to see a larger version of it.

Thanks!

I've just posted a couple better pictures of pockets. I hope they make things a clearer.

This is SUCH a pretty bag. My teenager daughter just saw it for the first time and said, "Oh, that's so pretty!"
