Calvin and Hobbes

Click on any picture for a larger view.

You asked for more denim bags.... CHECK! You asked for longer straps... CHECK! You asked for more messenger bags.... CHECK!

And I couldn't resist the name Calvin and Hobbes as this bag was made out of an entire pair of Calvin Klein jeans donated by Jill! Thank you!

The colorful hippy fabric is a donated throw-back from the 70's. The hot pink flap trim, sides / bottom and strap scraps are all leather. A fancy-shmancy pre-cut donation! Woo HOo! The inside glow-in-the-dark lime green fabric was donated by Connie in Cali. It's so bright, you'll never lose anything in there.

The trim on the cell pocket is lime green ball fringe as well as a turquoise glittery button. The flower on the flap is a removable pin that is made of paper flowers and a tiny vintage button.

The back side of Calvin has two large pockets with the top edge anchored with a little turquoise button. The jean pockets on the front flap and inside are all functional. There are two large pockets inside as well, of course, cutely accented by a hot pink button that looks red in the photos.

Because the hot pink leather was pre-cut, this bag is slightly smaller than our regular pattern. It measures 13" across, 11" all and 2 3/4" wide. The extra long straps are currently tied at 54" but can be adjusted to your liking.

Calvin and Hobbes is the THE bag for Fall.

Bid on this bag by leaving your name and a bid in the comments section. Bidding starts at $25 and increases by whole $s please. Highest bidder at 9pm (PDT) on Saturday, October 11th gets the BAG! Postage extra (from Phoenix, AZ). This bag was created by Linda.

I don't know what "Prims" is - but the internet clarified:

Prim's is an algorithm in graph theory that finds a minimum spanning tree for a connected weighted graph. This means it finds a subset of the edges that forms a tree that includes every vertex, where the total weight of all the edges in the tree is minimized.

I'm impressed. :)

Prims is a girls club for grade 1 & 2 girls... who all wear pink shirts and learn about God. Darla is the Queen of Prims. (but she probably understood all that stuff you wrote, Jennie.)

ooooh...becc is not going to be happy with her momma tomorrow...I remembered this morning at 7:30 freaking out that I forgot and then remembered it closed at 9pm...and then we made our medieval feast tonight (lamb and lentils and almond milk and rice) and COMPLETELY forgot til now! I hope another similar to this or another lady bug will show it's face soon. Keep the lime green, jean and funky fabrics coming!
