At my house, all the guests hang their bags on the lampshades - oh yes they do. This heavy-duty bag in browns and blues is made from upholstry fabrics inside and out. Donations from Mystery Pete, Melanie G, and Susan F. The front and back of the bag, as well as the straps and the flap lining are made from a simple light brown piece.
The sides and outside pockets use a variety of upholstry samples. There's some swirly geometric stuff, some blue fuzzy stuff, some stripey stuff, and some brown cordy stuff.
The front and the back sport catchy buttons in coordinating tones.
The pockets and straps are lined with a heritage off-white cotton.
Inside the bag we have a blue and black striped remnant from my mommy's Gone with the Wind costume.
The inside pocket is pieced together from a funky coordinating cotton floral.
