Jane of Lantern Hill changed quite a lot from conception to the bag you see before you today. I'd anticipated making one of our standard messenger bags. But after the lovely dusty rose fabric was washed and dried, I ended up with a smaller, thicker piece than I started with. Part of the fun of working with donations is that you have no idea what they're made of. Apparently this one is all wool!

Once I'd sewn the body of the bag together, I realized that it was just too thick for our standard flap and straps. My mother-in-law helped me figure out these sweet puffy straps.

The dusty rose felted wool that makes up the body of this bag has a great waffle texture and a fuzzy look that just makes you want to give it a little hug.

The outside features a small side pocket for your cell phone or sunglasses. And the top of the bag is pulled together with a tab and cute, pink, vintage buttons.

The inside of the bags has 5 pockets in totals. A double set of pink pockets with green trim and a triple set of green pockets with pink trim. Now is my lipstick in the pink pocket or the green pocket?

Jane of Lantern Hill is approximately 12" wide x 9.5" tall x 3.5" thick. The straps are 25" long.
